Can robots replace humans?

We are living in a world where new technologies come quickly, and more new ones replace them more quickly,it gives us alot of options to choose from.This has change our lifestyles than our ancestors used to have.Everyone wants to spend a comfortable life.As i was getting bored so i choose to do some readings on robots,so i read some articles and now i am going to share my views here.There are different types of robots presently available which are meant for different tasks.Some robots pick stuff from one place and put it to its destination, some robots are meant for doing maid's work and there are many more.But they are not generic,means they are only meant for only one or more tasks.They cannot behave like humans,but research is going on in which scientists are trying to make robots which will behave like humans and there will be no difference between a robot and human being.Those robots will be able to do every task that a human being can perform.Then i also want to mention another research which is carried by pentagon that they want to replace soldiers with robots and they had made some prototypes of it and 90% work is completed,it will take them another 10-15 years to make full equipped soldier robots that can perform tasks of human soldiers and will not be costly.Where the world is heading?why would they want to replace humans with robots?if robots are replaced by humans then what will humans do?if robots replace humans is there a possibility that robots will take over humans and a war between robots and humans can be fought(like in terminator movie & eagle eye :P)?.These are some of the quesions that the researchers should consider before going with the idea to replace humans with robots.
