.NET and java

Microsoft and SunMicrosytems were rivals of each other after bitter split up over Java in late 1990s.But now relations between both are getting friendly,they have good relations after they settled a lawsuit over Microsoft's use of Java in 2004.Microsoft after it started attending annual conference JavaOne by Java.But now they are coming with a big surprise at this years JavaOne conference in June that SunMicrosystems Java will be interoperatable Microsft's .net environment,which is a good and positive step for programmers and it will be of great help.When both will be interoperatable then programmers will more easily code applications and platform independent issues will be resolved as .net is not platform independent.I think Microsoft is working hard to shed its image as a monopolist after it realized that this world is greatly dominated by internet companies such as Google.
